Japan
This track was a nightmare to get finished and is basically the most Frankenstein collab ever - everything from project tempos being off by fractions of BPM to random source files being panned off-center - but it was definitely worth it, and we feel like we pulled out all the stops in making this feel like an epic Japanese music battle. Almost everything you hear from the string plucking to knuckle/wood percussion is koto with the exception of obvious additions like the flute, kick drum, and bass guitar that come later as the song progresses. This will be ear candy to those who have really good earphones/headphones - tons of detail and lots of frills, scratches, sub-melodies the more closely you listen. Funny thing is this probably has more influence from psytrance music like DNA (ie Angel Dust has that plucky sound), so it's like if you took that and merged it with something like East Wind / Uttara-Kuru. Enjoy and happy new year!

A song in the style of oriental culture is very fascinating and attractive! I like the way it sounds! 10/10
Waterflame is better in solo :(
whoah. great work/ i like rythm music and u<
I'm really enjoying your collabs, guys. The stringed instrument at the beginning has a great, crisp texture, and the drums and bass at :23 help smooth it over for some pleasant contrast. The transition at :38 was a bit abrupt, but I like the more ominous tone the piece is taking by around the 1-minute mark. The frantic strings contrast nicely with the mellow woodwinds. I might've like the drums to be a bit more prominent in this one, and I also feel like the melodic elements could've been developed a bit further. That said, both of you guys have been nailing the sound design in your recent work, and it's great to see. The climactic part towards the end was a great narrative touch, too. Keep up the good work! ^_^
