Canvas, by _underscore

Some songs have a story, or a meaning. This is one of them. Interpret it however you want to, but this is what I had in mind while making it:

BEGINNING: High pass filters make a sound thin as paper... my canvas has not been marked. an idea builds in my head until...

PIANO + FIRST PART: the first mark. the second. the third. now, i am making a masterpiece. i enjoy it, creating this masterpiece of mine. until... what if they don't like my creation? no, i don't like it either. i throw it away, this miserable creation of mine.

SAWS: a new plan forms. my anger grows as i create it. i hate it. i reflect further on all these things my brain tells me i'm doing wrong. and i believe it, every word. i'm spinning, no; the world is spinning... faster and faster and i can't do it anymore!

DNB: i'm done. i'm done, i'm done, i'm done. i throw it away, i throw it away, i throw it away. i can't make a masterpiece... the ground is coming fast as i realize i'm falling... falling where, into what? no time to reflect, spinning faster and faster but-

what if i could slow down? i am in control. this is my masterpiece. no, i can't; my masterpiece; spinning-

RE-FIRST PART: as i draw, i reflect... the world can spin, and hate my creation all it wants to; the one thing i control is myself, and the pencil in my hand. so i draw away, draw some more, draw for hours... this is my creation, and it is my masterpiece.

Fun fact: I hid all the melodies from Out There EP into this megacollage... most of them are hard to hear, but if you listen near the beginning, after the piano comes in, you can hear an extremely adapted version of Millennia's main melody. You can also hear the Careful, He Bytes theme during the buildup to the drum n bass part of the song. Just for fun, because why not?

The only sample I used was a recording of me crumpling up a piece of paper and throwing it into the local trash can. I loved creating this, I hope you enjoy it!
