Back Story: Eventually all those negative thoughts and the combined experiences of failures took hold and he could only wish for one thing. This song is NOT about suicide...he knew the consequences of how that path could affect family or friends. This was about him hitting rock bottom and not wanting to exist anymore. He hoped for death, even wished for it to happen naturally so other people couldn't blame themselves. There were even some days he would day dream about it happening. To get a better understanding here's part of the original lyrics to this song that didn't make it:

"God please place cancer inside me or let this storm rain lightning where I dwell. Hatred internally rising, aimed towards existance and myself."
