Hey, I've decided to release all the other songs from my album onto Newgrounds. Some of you may recognize some riffs in these tunes as riffs in some of my 8-bit work - infact, I wrote these first, and then reworked parts of them into chiptune down the line. So while the 8-bit versions were published first, you could consider some of these songs the "Original Version" of certain tunes.
This song is probably the oldest one here, and dates back to my initial Kyuss worship of late middle school and early high school. Thankfully, I no longer sing like a K-mart brand John Garcia - though I'm not entirely happy with my performance here. I always had a soft spot for this tune, or at least the riffs, so I decided to get it off my chest on this album - Punk and Stoner share more in common than you may think, after all.
All instruments and vocals were done by me. I'm not an amazing singer, but it's not like I was gonna get anyone else to do it, so I did it myself.
Here are the lyrics :
Yesterday I was making green tea
And I saw this man who was on the TV
I'll tell you what he told to me
He said he'd seen the Rake
And showed the picture of an abstract shape
Kinda like a naked man with claws
Man, can you believe that shit?
That there's this guy who says all this
On cable TV now
He probably read all that trash
Creepypastas like that from back in the day
It's like he still believes in Santa or someshit
I knew right then and there that we surely all deserved to fucking die
I can only conclude that we were a mistake in God's holy eyes
Makes perfect sense that we're seeing disease mass shootings and all of that shit
If this guy's the best we got than I think that we deserve some of it
I'm still in disbelief
I just can't - are you fucking kidding!?
This dumb bitch got a TV show?
Is this what the world has come to?
Creepypasta monsters are the new bigfoot?
Someone find a twelve year old to stab me
