Story: In January 2021, several months after quarantine (but while everyone was still wearing masks), I hung out with a friend to do some yoga & breathwork. And maybe just a little ketamine (hehe).

We had a great session, I left feeling good.

A few days later, I began feeling fatigued and sore, and my overall energy was low, so I called my boss at my pizza delivery job to tell him I was staying home to err on the side of caution.

Then my friend broke the news that he had just tested positive for COVID (the day after we did yoga together), which confirmed my suspicion that I had caught it myself.

My girlfriend freaked out and told me I could not quarantine in our apartment (she was afraid for the kids, one has asthma). So, I called up a local hotel and negotiated with the owner who I knew from years back. He fortunately gave me a fair rate, and I proceeded to spend the remaining 10 days or so there.

Since I was going to have to keep myself company and entertained (which I'm used to doing), I decided to pick up a bottle of tequila and some chocolate cannabis edibles. I may have been stuck in that hotel physically, but best believe my consciousness would be roaming freely :)

I had my laptop and headphones too, of course, and one of the first nights there I watched Interstellar for the first time. By the end of the movie, I was both high as hell and inspired. Creativity was flowing, so I dove right into FL Studio and came up with Journey To Zeta Reticuli. It is also partially inspired by Bob Sinclar's "World Hold On", one of my all-time favorite songs from when I was a kid.

I didn't make the track with any kind of genre or parameters in mind, it just flowed. It came together in a few hours, and then for months I didn't touch it. I didn't know what to do with it, whether it would make sense to market it, how much energy/resources to put behind it etc.

Fast forward to now, I've been wanting to get more creative with the content I put out for you guys, and while I have some big plans for some next-level shit over the coming months/years, I felt this would be a good start.
