I started writing this song when I was in the process of being evicted, and after I had lost my job. I sat on the living room floor among all the boxes, chugged some white claw, and started writing the intro. A couple weeks later I got shot in a fight, and this song - as well as all the others on this album almost didn't get finished. During quarantine, I picked it back up finally and finished it. Pretty crazy to think about! I'm doing a lot better now.
