Here it is guys! The final upload from my 2019 release "Under the Goldstar: The Floorboard Demos (Vol. I)". It's been great sharing these with you guys, and the feedback I've received has been beyond awesome! This tune is one that I originally wrote when I was sixteen, but didn't record until much later. I was going through a lot of hardship at that age, and it centers heavily on the resultant feelings of dissosciation. In many ways I think this piece is most representative of the whole demo album.

Anyways, I'm very excited to hear what you guys think, and look forward to begin presenting my new material this coming Friday.

If you'd like to hear the full demo album, feel free to check it out on Spotify, YouTube, Soundcloud, and pretty much all major platforms.

Thanks for all the support as always, and I hope you enjoy!

I love that guitar riff from the start! The vocals sounds great,
the bass coming up after that hits like a dream, well done!

floorboardofficial responds:

Thanks for the feedback! I'm definitely glad to hear that the bass had the desired effect on you.

I think the emotions you were feeling then definitely come through in this song! Love the lyrics, and your ending was great. The way you brought everything together in a triumphant finale was awesome! Many creators cut that type of ending a little bit too short but I think yours was a great length.

floorboardofficial responds:

Thanks so much! I'm glad that the emotions came through and that you enjoyed it!

Ooo, I absolutely love the vocals here; the chorus is nice and w i d e. Your vocal processing is so clean and has a good dynamic range. There's a very nice song progression and the contrast between the differences in effects between verses and hook is subtle. This is actually the type of music I'd listen to when I'm tired of listening to those over-sound-designed, producer-flex bass music artists haha.

floorboardofficial responds:

Hey man thanks for the feedback! Much appreciated! But hey, it sounds like you’ve learned a lot listening to that stuff hahaha, I’d say you work surely qualifies as a “producer-flex” as well (and I mean that in the best of ways). Glad you’ll take the time to listen to something a little less engineered.
