Originally composed in 2006, I was about to leave home and survive on my own for the first time in my life. It was an odd time for me: College left me emotionally distressed having endured a year-long bullying from the head of department, and I was nervous about joining a different area of creativity without having any foundation or previous qualifications – just a few interactive experiments and some of the early cartoons you might see on here – but I was somewhere between excited and sad. It was a new chapter, I was an adult and it was time I moved on, learn from the past to become better.

I had a similar transient feeling in 2009 when I moved to London, when I rerecorded this song. Apart from being equipment with more instruments (you'll hear trombone, glockenspiels, accordion etc on this) and an art degree (oOOoOO), I was more mentally prepared for this move and was hopeful for what was to come…
