I think that having multiple tentacles would be both a pain in arse and helpful

If they weren't retractable, it'd be really uncomfortable to sleep on your back, and you'd take up more space in general. But with additional limbs you could prefer more tasks at once..;; ¯⁠\⁠_⁠(⁠ツ⁠)⁠_⁠/⁠¯
