In the Cerestix System, next to planet Viona, sits a planet full of peculiar life... even some life forms of low consistency. It's called Lumavia!

Axl lands his ship on a search for something. This was unfortunately a pretty impromptu hunt, so he was tired, due to staying up late.

The air was clear, the water was crystal clear, and the sun was shining. Axl was pretty astonished by how different of a landscape this is from the coastal landscape of the Viona's Synchrona Islands!

While walking, Axl closes his eyes and yawns. Unaware of the visibly slimy and unstable ground he was about to walk on.

As he opened his eyes, he heard a loud squelch, and then he felt something cold on both his paws. He looked down to see that he stood directly in a puddle of some weird slime.

Axl exclaims in disgust as he struggles to get out of the puddle. Once he does, he wipes his paws off the grass to hopefully get the slime off. He does so, though it was difficult. He begins walking, avoiding the puddles, until the ground rumbles underneath him. He then sees the ground ahead begin collapsing. In a panic, he scarpers to get back to a safe zone. His panic however only made things worse, as it started breaking apart around him. Before Axl knew it, he was falling along with the ground. It was then he fearfully accepts that it's over for him and he closes his eyes, waiting for the inevitable...

...CRASH!

Axl opens his eyes. He felt cold. Maybe he's just experiencing his last couple of minutes?

Absolutely not. That puddle he stood in was a lot deeper than he thought. Most of his body was fully submerged. The puddle fully broke his fall and saved his life. Not even a scratch was laid on him. He struggled to escape the puddle's grasp as he got off the crash site of the cliff, just in case any more pieces were on their way down. He jumped onto the sand of the beach. It was slimy there too, of the exact same colour. It would seem that the entire cliff was riddled with the stuff. Axl walked away from the slime, wiping it off his paws and clothing. Thankfully it came off relatively easily this time. He catches his breath, and then he hears a voice... "Yeah! The trap and the lifesaver puddle worked!"

He turns very fast, breathing heavily. He assumes an offensive posture and headed into the shade, where he heard the voice.

"H- Hello!?" he shakingly asks, still terrified over his near death encounter. He notices the ground was covered in the same slime. He stupidly ceased the offensive posture and crouched near the slime. He stuck his left hand paw in the slime, just to test what it was like. He didn't want to end up deep in it again. It was just a simple layer. As he was about to get back up, he noticed a green coloured humanoid shadow appear in front of him. It towered over his shadow. Axl was about to try and get out of the way, but he was grabbed by something very gooey. He fought and fought, but it got him nowhere. It was then he was placed on the gooey figure's lap. Where he sunk in pretty fast, to the point where his legs were completely submerged in the stuff. His left paw was stuck in the slime too.

"Wh- What the-" Axl exclaims, completely terrified. The figure then hugged him and spoke in a soft tone.

"Hey, don't be scared, little guy. You're a Vionan, right? I've never seen a Vionan in person before.

"Yes? Now let me go!" He said, trying to squirm his way out. The slime of course denied.

"Shhh... I'm not going to hurt you, ok?" said the slime as she hugged tighter. She softly bobbed him up and down too.

Axl could feel his head slowly start sinking into the slime. Luckily she prevented his head from sinking in even half way.

"Just relax...” she softly repeats, still bobbing him up and down gently. The arms were very soft too.

After a while of trying, Axl realised that there was literally no chance of him getting out of this. She turned out to be a lot stronger than him. The bobbing, the hugging, the warmth and the weird feeling of the slime swaying between his fingers somehow started to calm him down. Eventually he realised, the slime was making no attempt of hurting him. It was genuinely just trying to be friendly.

After a long while, Axl had calmed down fully, his fear from his near death experienced had vanished too...

It was then the lack of sleep finally fully caught up with him, and he started to drift off to sleep.

...At least he didn't start drifting off while flying his ship, right?

The slime kept him safe and warm until the next morning. It was a cold morning too...

... So the slime used this as an excuse to keep him within their grasp. A good thing though, was that the slime hunted down the thing he was looking for and gave it to him.

Eventually the slime took him back to his ship and let him go, but not before getting all the slime off him.

It let him know that they were going to be his helping hand when it came to Lumavia. It waved him goodbye as he taken off.
