Grape-kun was so much more than just another penguin. He experienced what so many of us do - love for something just barely out of reach. It wasn't about the picture on the cardboard. It was about pure love that this noble creature held for something that he may have known couldn't have loved him back.

He suffered the 3D life - worst of which was getting dumped by his former mate of 10 years. Undeterred by this setback that would have broken a lesser man to nothing more than a gibbering wreck, he persevered. Against all odds in a feeble, frail, nearly dying body well past his life expectancy, he fought on.

Grape-kun accomplished what most men spend lifetimes trying to achieve. When all most of us could do is dream, he went out and lived it. Truly he was the greatest among us. Everything he did, he did for his waifu. Right at the end of his life, his waifu was there for him, saving him from the deep depression he had ended up in.

And he died believing in her.

You've set the golden standard for the rest of us when it comes to waifu dedication.
