This was for Asexual Awareness Week. After a lot of abuse relating to my identity, I'm learning to be more accepting of myself when it seems like no one else will. No one can tell me who I am or what to do anymore.
I'm free to be me! I am ace! I'm not broken and no one is allowed to lay a hand on me without my consent ever again. I don't need to discuss topics I'm not comfortable with, or do ANYTHING I don't want to do in relation to intimacy. I'm me and that's just fine! Anyone who takes issue can see themselves out.
All my aspec lovelies, you're great! Identities aside, the specifics aren't important- be proud of who you are and don't let anyone change that! You're as valid as anyone else and you don't need to justify yourself to others. You've got nothing to prove to anyone! Be yourself!
