Eli had always had a fascination with birds their inner complexities, behavior, and variety. But he always was most interested in their flying mechanisms, and the traits that allowed them to soar effortlessly through the sky. For practically his entire life he had fantasized about being a bird in flight. The freedom of the air the wind whooshing past his ears and he rocketed above the horizon. But he had always been held down by responsibility like a weight holding him down and only causing him stress. This stress was practically doubled when The Wright War broke out, hatred caused walls to be made but those walls could not contain the chaos that ensued beyond them. Riots and Murder was common place as people strived for normalcy. The weapons that filled every home becoming more and more lethal as time went on. The governments that once help people together crumbling and releasing hell upon their lands. Eli desperately searching for a way to live his life safe and free collapsed, gazing upon the sky, he remembered his dreams. He heard explosion close by so he began to rise and that's when he spotted it. An anti aircraft missile launching system with only one missile left. It seemed to call to him with a comforting, soothing voice, he ran to it and observed the controls. They were quite simplistic allowing him to select the missile and pressing the big confirm button it began the countdown. Gunfire rang through the crumbling cities as Eli strapped himself onto the missile listening for the automated message to finally say 3... 2... 1... Smoke billowed out from below him as he flew into the air quickly gaining speed. Finally he was soaring with the birds, rocketing into the sky, the city of horrors he had been subjected to quickly disappearing from view. He was free, He screaming in joy as tears were torn off his face by the air. Then he was killed by the same missile that freed him. pieces of metal tearing into him as his body was incinerated. A whole lifetime ended in an instant and nobody even knew.
