A compilation of artwork I made of my erratic, dangerous-yet-mildly-popular television host OC, Ronda "Teleganza" Jackson, from 2021 through 2023. [She also goes by a few other, shorter titles ('Ronda T. Jackson', 'R.T.J.', and 'T. J. Ronda') for those who think that name is a mouthful.]

Birthday Host (1) / September 16th, 2021

Decided to draft up some art to commemorate my birthday that was a couple of days, and along with it comes a new character. Ronda's job varies, but it's usually tied to television--sometimes she's a game show host, sometimes she's a talk show host, and sometimes just as saleswoman for a random product. Her personality is more easier to pin down, but even harder to deal with--"chaotic calm" or "ordered chaos" seems to be what's usually settled on. The main reason being that she almost always acts as if she's doing her hosting gigs, even off-camera...and at times, it seems reality even acts that way, with the strange, sometimes lethal incidents that follow her around.

Despite being a notorious liability, she's extremely competent at her job to continue getting gigs, and even has a bit of a cult following due to her oddball nature. But regardless, the reaction people have when they find out they have to work for her (or even with her) is immediate dread.

Reporter Mic Drop (2) / December 19th, 2021

Another "supposed to be a quick sketch" piece that I ended up taking longer to make it more polished. (Regardless, this was one of the quickest drawings I've completed in a long while, over the course of a day.)

This went through some ideas and different sketches before I settled on the final concept you see here, where I ended up constructing a sketch, and then loosely redrew it in lineart with a freehand.

The main goal for this with the proportions and colors was for an early 2000s aesthetic presentation. Sources like the Sonic Adventure and Jet Set Radio character art, and 2000s-era television bumpers you'd seen on channels like MTV and Cartoon Network.

Also, at the time I published it, this was my three hundred and thirty third (333rd) artwork on dA! Whoop.

Routine Standup (3) / March 5th, 2021

One of the intentions I had for T.J. Ronda with her conception is that she would be a character for a fighting videogame, where her attacks/specials would be based on her various roles as a television host/reporter, boosted by the bizarre carnage that follows her around. With that in mind, think of this piece as to what her "idle" pose / fighting stance would be.

Another early concept I wanted to reincorporate here was giving her clothes and hair a more disheveled / untailored look, to support her slightly "off" appearance.

Ronda bringing out her customized wheel of fortune, on or off the camera, isn't the absolute worst outcome a contestant or fighter can have happen to them. It's still pretty high on the list though of bad outcomes.
