Unnamed Creepypasta Alternate Universe

I hated how my version of Nina and Ben looked, so I redid them a few months ago. But never posted it.

Long ass description, if you want the full story behind this image!

It was cold outside, and the duo had decided to go out for a warm drink. It had been a while since they'd hung out, and Ben had grown concerned for the poor girl.

 It had been 4 months since they last saw each other, the longest they'd gone without meeting in person. Usually, going out with Ben, was Nina's only contact with the world outside her room. So when she refused for 8 times in a row,  He had grown a bit concerned.

It happened after he'd sent her an article on one of their old classmates, Jeffery. Apparently, he'd killed a guy, and there were conflicting stories on the nature of the "attack". 

Nina believed Jeff to be innocent, she'd had a crush on him since they were both in school. While it was painfully obvious that her crush was blinding her, Ben agreed with her.

The guy Jeff "attacked" was Keith Smalls. He was also a classmate of all of them, and the reason Jeff looked the way he did, he was the one who burned him.

 He was never arrested, one advantage of your dad being a cop, and after Jeff's family left, He became obsessed with him.

None of the public articles Ben found brought this up. 

They just made it out that Jeff had attacked some rando in the apartments.

Never mind there being evidence of Keith planning to murder Jeff for a long time.

Never mind that the alleged attack happened in Jeff's apartment, where Keith had no business or right to be.

Never mind that there was security footage of Keith breaking into Jeff's apartment.

Everything outside of these articles pointed to this being self-defense. But most people didn't know that, especially not the ladies sitting at the table next to them.

"Did you hear about that murder at Ridgedown?" one of the girls asked before sipping her drink.

"Yeah, my cousins live on the same floor as that dude, I'm glad they weren't attacked."

The ladies continued their conversation, they were so distracted, that they didn't notice the girl hovering over them, staring. 

When they finally turned towards her. she only said one thing.

"Jeff is innocent."

Before either girl could ask her what she meant, she started to scream at them, drawing the attention of patrons and employees alike. Both of the girls were terrified all they could do was sit there and take the verbal assault from this clearly disturbed girl.

Ben swiftly got up and grabbed Nina, holding her back.

He profusely apologized, dragging the still-screeching girl out of the cafe.

"What the fuck was that?!"  He asked when they made it outside. Nina didn't respond she simply shoved him off and began to walk home. 

Ben was really starting to regret sending her that article.
