Roven Antavi

Share

Character for a future DnD Comic I want to make.

Roven Antavi is an Elf Bard and a vagabond. There is nothing more that he loves other than music. However, he wasn't always good at his craft. When he was a child, he would do his best to learn how to play violin but never seemed to get it right no matter how hard he tried. This was often to the ire of his peers. His parents looked down on him, and other people his age would often make fun of him for his "lack of talent". That was until one day, Roven was offered to make a wish by a wandering sorceress. He wished to become one of the best violin players in Aphela. However, with wishes come curses. Roven was cursed to never have anyone truly love him for who he is, and only see his surface level traits. The only way to break the curse if for a song of true love to be played for him.

Roven on the surface is charming, but vain. Able to easily persuade others and impress common folk with his musical talent. However, underneath his facade of whimsy and confidence, is a sad and lonely man who yearns for someone to see him for who he is. While he can get attention easily and can get most women into bed with him, his interactions with others are often shallow. He has spent so much time wearing a mask, he doesn't even remember who he used to be. He forgot how to love himself.
