This is my entry to Draw with Jazza's 2018 January challenge Colour of Loss.
I am 13 and this is by far one of my best colouring pieces yet.

Here is a link to show the process of the piece to show that it's my own. The link was uploaded to my Youtube Challenge.

I used Procreate a mobile app and the apple pencil to create the piece. I used the Moonline ben for the majority of the piece and then for the ghost I used the Blotchy tool for the ghost to give it a transparent look. So you can easily identify which is alive and which is a ghost/dead. Due to the nature of the environment being a waste land I chose to use a colours that reminds me of a steam punk feel. I chose not to add anything in the background for I thought it would take away the feel of the piece and as well as not distributing the ghost in anyway or form.

I liked this. The color palette is striking, I wouldn't have chosen it myself, but I think it works. I am a little confused by the choice of red for the I beam in the bottom right, maybe a slightly more muted red would work better so as not to draw so much attention. One thing that I was wondering about was shadows and highlights, the piece feels a little too uniform, but maybe more detailed lighting would take away from the style. Overall, an original entry that stood out, with a few technical things to work on.
