My entry for Jazza's January 2018 Challenge of the Month. I decided to color the whole landscape in different toned grays to amplify the loss the main character is feeling. Because of his sadness, he no longer sees the world in the beautiful array of colors that it is and everything around him has instead been reduced to dull grays. It was mostly colored with Copics, but the sky gradient in the background was done using my extremely limited knowledge of how to work in Photoshop -- as a thirteen-year-old, I don't have the money to buy big fancy art gadgets or the time to figure them all out, so I'm still not really sure how I pulled that off!

PS: I am aware that in Australia it is already Wednesday the 24th, but in the US where I live it is still the 23rd, so I'm not late. Hope this clears everything up!
