Metroid x Spongebob Squarepants

Share

Characters: Patrick, Bob, Samus and Metroid.

Tool: Paint Tool SAI.

I've made a crossover between Samus Aran and metroid creature into the world of Spongebob and his friend Patrick.

I personally thought that the metroid creature is kinda like a jellyfish, so, I decided to draw it being chased by this pair of friends. However, the creature is not alone, and the bounty hunter, Samus Aran, will protect the little one, even if this is just a game for Bob and Patrick, that's something Samus doesn't care.

Speaking about this artwork, I wanted to portrait a contrast between both universes, and showing a situation in which the could converge together. On Spongebob's side, I wanted to draw Bob and Patrick on one of their normal jellyfish fishing sessions, and even I drew something related of the "Pizza Delivery" episode, which is the rock hitchhiking, a really funny bit. On the other side, Samus notices that something is going on with metroid, which feels fear. So she is alert, as the badass that she is, waiting for those who dare to scare the little one. Finally, I wanted to practice with narrative in order to make this scene feel natural, I hope I could achieve that.

By the way, this is not the only version of this one, however, at the moment, this drawing remain as you may see it.
