Melissa is Carrie's mother. She owns a small grocery store on the edge of town, and the rest of her family are employees. She was raised in a magic-free household, so what little ability she has isn't very useful. Despite this, she'll go all out and fight to the death if it meant protecting her family from harm. Usually though, it's the other way around. She is fiercely loyal to her family, especially her husband, who she's still madly in love with after all these years.

Fun fact! An irl friend of mine offered to model for this, which is why she looks more normally proportioned than the rest of my characters. I showed her my art of Melissa at a party once and she loved it.

I could have finished this in November, but life took an unexpected downward turn. I'm doing better for now.
