Parents really out here naming their daughters "Mushroom"... I know the kanji is unique and all, not representing the actual fungus, but still.

Remember how I say the main boy is the best-looking character in this franchise? Well... I still stand by that. But besides the pink alien, mushroom girl here is infesting the Top 5 list.

Admittedly, she is like a lot of the other girls in this franchise. Basic colours, nothing too stand-out at a glance. Her only defining trait outside of a superhero costume is the long hair, but I like that element. It's like she's desperate to become Cousin Itt. Plus, when she wears her costume, I like the way her face looks under the jungle of hair.

This is a character absolutely nobody asked me to draw. How fitting that it's this one that I ended up settling on. Not much thought went into the pose, but I knew I needed to keep her toes spread out for a certain variant. In the beginning stages, I was considering making this an animation. Ultimately though, it would've been annoying, particularly since the whole fungal stuff would have to be taken into account.

Let me discuss that element, the variant that most will be disgusted at. Now, like how many things in real life are sickening, foot fungi are gross. If someone had it, I'd be turned off. And I don't like mushrooms; I can tolerate them, but I don't ever ask for them in a dish.

Yet under this fictional concept, I find the fungal element interesting. If only because it enhances the disgust factor of the feet. To think that they're so unwashed and grimy that they're producing more than rich toe jam between the digits makes my mouth water. And it's a good coincidence that Kinoko Komori's powers all revolve around fungi, or specifically mushrooms. I'm just picturing the noxious taste and scent of her feet infecting my tongue and breath after going down on her. Kind of horrifying, but horrifying concepts can be hot under very specific scenarios.

Related to the Fungal 2 variant, darkening the background is a great way to emphasise how stinky one's feet are. It makes the green pop out better, don't you agree?

My favourite variant bounces between Sweaty+Stinky and Fungal 2. The former has much better dialogue, but the latter has such cheesy-looking feet... I'm going to gross you all out and declare Fungal 2 my favourite of this set. Mushrooms and all, I'd suck Kinoko's feet until at least one of us came.
