Experimentation with fine liner and rough lines, also pose practice. Mordred is heaps of fun to draw.

This is a rendition of Mordred, from my Le Morte, a dark and graphic retelling of the Arthurian legend as a Shakespearean tragedy, with Mordred cast as the protagonist. I was tempted to colour this, but early experimentation didn't yield satisfactory results. Might revisit with new skills with watercolour duplication in digital.
