Shadow has smashed his way through Egg Pawns and human mercenaries; now he knocks Orbot and Cubot aside like a couple of bitches. Heh, I loved writing that. And we meet the Eggman, with what may or may not be the Master Plan. Aaaaand... there's GUNS in the WALLS.

When people talk about 'family' with Shadow and Eggman, I think that Eggman sees Shadow as a Cousin Once Removed. He was made by grandfather Gerald, but Eggman's cousin Maria had a hand in his construction. Shadow is supposed to be Eggman's inheritance but obviously that didn't work out. So to Eggman, Shadow's kinda like that relative who shows up on your doorstep (or smashes through your ceiling) whenever they need money.

My opinion on Orbot and Cubot is, Orbot only appears smart because he's well-spoken and Cubot is just so obviously lazy and stupid. At the same time, Cubot only appears more loyal because Orbot is a snarker; as Shadow so eloquently puts it, they're both a couple of 'plebian little shits'.

(Also I'm pleased with the foreshadowing in this page. There's nothing I hate more than art of characters staring at empty computer screens, especially when they're as busy as Eggman is.)
