I wood carved a robot guy

I'm not even sure sculpture belongs on this site, but for a moment I will pretend that it does.

So I was having this conversation at the office space I'm renting with a colleague who's a tired programmer and is completely exhausted from dealing with computer bs. He suddenly had a revelation about how making things with your hands, you know, making something physical and seeing an actual tangible results instead of dealing with an uncooperative computer program would be so much more rewarding once in a while.

Vise words for such a young man, I though, while he continued rambling something about taking the simple pleasure of hammering a nail into a piece of wood as a child etc. etc. And I do agree completely, despite the unusual way he described it, and that's why I make little sculptures or make my own valet out of leather and so on. It's a different kind of esthetic experience, it's relaxing.

This thing is half wood carving, half 3d print. No real reason, I just thought it might look cool. It took me around three weeks to make. I made some parts like the arms posable/movable as well, like you can see in the last image. I also wanted to include some things into my 2d game project that look like they come from a different dimension entirely. So what could be better than using pictures or a 3d scan or a real carving for that? Well, probably many things, but I wanted to make this, ok
