There was a time long before the birth of mankind when time had a set path, when there was no surprises and everything that happened was truly destiny. That time was the reign of Kali, the one who controlled the threads of time allowing her to tell the story of the universe however she saw fit. She was a kind and generous mother of the universe yes.....but she wasn't exactly fair....

She tended to stick religiously to certain tropes and patterns, favoring tragedy and war between good and evil almost to ad nauseum. And she tended to play favorites here and there. It was inevitable someone would tire of such methods, and then came the time she told the story of Cronos going mad with fear and thus driven to eat his own children. Many died in this tale, and after his own son Zeus finally killed his father he sought out the truth behind this tragedy. And when he learned of Kali's involvement his thirst for revenge would know no line uncrossed....

What followed was the Universe War, where the last remaining children of Cronos would ban together to usurper Kali's throne just to then destroy it. To this end they subjected the young child Athena to unethical, unnatural consummation creating the mighty beast Tyrranux the Kraken. And with that Kali and her army of Titans were struck down, Kali herself sealed away in a deep sleep, deep within the bowels of the Kraken. The very threads of life she used were cut, the power to control all of time and space forever severed from this plane of existence.

But it seems even in her slumber she still tells her stories, even having the power to send them to others in their own dreams. And there is one in particular that she loves to tell over and over, a romantic epic where the Kraken is killed by a brave hero carrying the freezing eyes of a Gorgon in order to save the most beautiful maiden in the world....
