Nobody is quite sure as to what Egeren does simply because nobody has seen it doing anything when it is visible. Numerous accounts state that once eye contact is made it assumes a snake like movement as it whisks itself away. Most assume it is up to no good as it avoids most that cross its path. Egeren has become another one of the mysterious beings that has no apparent meaning behind its existence. Perhaps it hasn't revealed its purpose to those around it for a reason?
