The true irony: Has a necklace made of teeth, finds mouth to have no teeth at all. Then again, using dual axes, you can just chop your lunch into a lot of small, bite-sized pieces. Lovely art, always was a reptile freak myself. (I once found a ratsnake in the house, then proceeded to drape it around my neck and traumatize my mother and siblings.) Maybe add some more detail on the top spikes (or hair, whatever you call it.) and this could be in an art museum.

TurkeyOnAStick responds:

Around his neck he wears his false teeth! ;)
I can't blame you for liking reptiles, they can be really cute or nasty creatures.

Thanks!

Never call a Banga a lizard.....

yeahyeah, maybe it is sort of inconsistent but i really admire the scales around the right side of his neck and the teeth there on his necklace. wooden pole comes off great towards the top where it is broekn. he's got some great muscles, but maybe the wound could be colored less like bubblegum. It doesn't look oozy, or coagulated. Ah, I got it: too clean there.

I love the paattern on his skin, though. Very vibrant, intimidating. I especially love the notched pattern around his mouth.

Awesome shadows too.

TurkeyOnAStick responds:

Thanks PoisonHeart, I was trying to do a decent job with the scales. In my defense, iguana skins are pretty interesting because the scales are inconsisent. They go plate-like round the arms, mail-like round the body, and expand around the neck.

(I'll throw my argument under the bus that it doesn't fit too well around the forearm and hand, though!)

And yeah, the wound isn't fresh, so no ooze! It's meant to be some self-inflicted scarring - but it's red on pink, so it doesn't come across too well.

Reminds me of a wonky 3d lizard with lizard skin texture plaster all over it.

Though I personally think the silhouetted arm could be defined a bit more, I still can't help but love the scales stretch about on the lizard's skin which distracts me from look at that.

TurkeyOnAStick responds:

Thanks Zane. I understand where you're coming from with the arm silhouette - I don't want to say it was an experiment, but it's "something I was trying out" (the viewer can see the front arm, so they could fill in the blanks on the rear). I'll make a blurry version next time.

I don't think the lizard is wonky, though, so you're gonna have to get back to me on that.

wow man that's a awesome piece you have there nice job. I also like the expression of the lizard

TurkeyOnAStick responds:

Doing expressions is the best part! Thanks Hydra :)
