With less than two weeks to go till the Newgrounds Audio Deathmatch auditions begin, I am ready to reveal another piece of the promotional side of things: the Newgrounds Skin!

This image that you see above will grace the background on 17 June 2019, the day the auditions begin.

Outside of promotional posters, we'd never had anything like this before. Heck, I don't remember us ever having a NGADM-themed Newgrounds skin, so this is the first. Hopefully this may inspire musicians to come and join in the battle, and others to come and watch!

Colouring for this artwork was done on Autodesk Sketchbook. The lineart, as was the case with the NGADM promotional poster, was done completely on PowerPoint and each stroke crashed the program. But given how clean it turned out, I think it was well worth it in the end:

As a bit of trivia, this was actually the first piece of NGADM-related artwork that I did for this year's competition. The promo poster came later. Also, to my recollection, the skin was an endeavour on my part -- it wasn't strictly requested of me but everyone, including the organisers, figured it would be nice to have.

I don't think I've come across musically adept versions of the NG mascots in artwork outside of the NGADM promotional posters of the past, either, so I took liberties with this one. Some details:

1. Pico's guitar looks more like a lap steel than a guitar.
2. Darnell, in spite of his relatively troubled background, has now got the qualification and calibre to conduct an orchestra.
3. Nene... Well. Having two Korean musical friends has helped me greatly with this one. I not only gave her a standard set of drums, I threw quite a bit of pungmul into the mix.
4. The amps are based on actual Marshall ones.

Anyway: I hope you all enjoy this! This, along with the NGADM poster, has been my proudest piece of visual art thus far, and I even surprised myself with how far I'd come.
