Live, come out of stagnation;
let the good things you dream of take form,
even if only in celebration,
for when we celebrate,
we are raging, we are rebelling
against the things that keep us in our presumed places.

come out of hiding and bring forth your light.
A personal piece, drawn from the heart, as a result of a powerful mental image that I had when listening to one of @DisOmikron's works in progress. I based this off of the dragon dance, which I witnessed plenty as I grew up in an area with a sizeable Chinese diaspora.
This piece is a bit of a departure from what is expected at a regular Splatfest, because unlike a regular Splatfest where you have recognisable faces (your newscasters and idols) front and centre, here you have an ensemble of musicians, singers, and dancers whose names are not known to the public, but who really do put on a show full of vigour. This display seems to be telling the people watching, "This is how we were, and this is how we sometimes are." I imagined a squid chasing something precious. A pearl of great price perhaps?

This is amazing. I'm a big fan of rough outlines, it feels more dynamic and human to me. Maaaaaaaaaaaany moons ago I used cross-hatching as I felt it was more raw ha.
This is beautiful though, the shadow and lighting is perfect, love that it is just blue and white, feels like a biro on paper.
