Something that I just came up with spontaneously. Another vampire girl, this one a spinster named Ruthie.

While she appears to have been turned in the 1960s, she is actually a modern-day turned vampire. Essentially, she was visiting a niece of her who had gotten the attention of a vampire name's Kingston. Kingston had sent his vampire minions to the household to kidnap said niece with anyone else there being fair game for feeding. When they invaded the residence, Ruthie tried to run and get help and, failing that, tried to fend off the two vampires that cornered her. She was quickly subdued, pinned, bitten and drained.

Her body was collected by a daytime servant of Kingston to remove any evidence of foul play and be disposed of. But when the time came, Kingston had an odd feeling about Ruthie and opted to keep her intact and let the vampirism in her run its course. Ruthie turned the following night and quickly took to being a vampire, to the point where she seemed the same as always, just now having powers, feeding on blood and obeying her new master. While she goes along with Kingston's plan to woo her niece into willingly letting him turn her, she's likewise fine if said niece wishes to say human too. Ruthie can be a little selfish and vain sometimes (one of the reasons she's ecstatic about being undead is she won't age further), but she still love her niece dearly. Beyond that, she's more then happy to be a bonafide vampire and a creature of the night. She just doesn't like being mocked for being eternally in her fifties by other vampires who were turned younger then her though she'll take it in stride and just enjoy her newfound powers. After all, the undead doesn't discriminate and they're all walking corpses regardless.
