2023 was a miserable shitfest for me. I hope 2024 goes is slightly better. This origionally started out as a study sometime in October but eventually evolved into vent art for me. This image went through several rough and darker drafts before I decided to pick a sketch.

Art hasn't been fun for me as of late. In fact, It hasn't been that fun for me in years. Sometimes I feel like I am just forcing random ideas out for the hell of it all but with no soul or purpose at all. Twitter has not made things any easier on me either mentally. I am tired of not being seen anymore. I have gotten tired of posting doodles only for my friends to ask me days later, "How come you haven't posted any art as of late?". Usually I draw for myself and the things I like hoping my dumb drawings will bring joy to others too but, now it feels like I am just posting and talking to a wall online. I don't always have to have several comments or likes on a image but I wish my friends and others could see my posts. I at least got a bit of joy knowing they saw it. Admittedly I left out other factors that lead to my love for my hobby fading but I don't feel comfortble talking about those. For now, I think I will take it easy. I hope I can find a glimmer of hope for the hobby I once adored so dearly this year.
