even though Jake messed up heavily by leaving a bear trap out, he didn’t want anything to do with the Fallen Angel that had just been picked up out of nowhere like that. Both because he didn’t know what they were capable of and because they didn’t want blood to get everywhere.
Sophie on the other hand knew they needed help and fought Jake on his decision. She’d deal with whatever happened, but she refused to leave them out there. Chris was trying to help them compromise, but that was going nowhere.
Ritsie was on Jake’s side, but for a different reason. As he looked at the “Angel” he immediately knew something was wrong. He couldn’t see their face. And they couldn’t see his either. Everything came off as a glitchy blurry mess. It was like they knew each other, but they refused to acknowledge it for one reason or another. Regardless, Ritsie blamed their lack of a face on what they were, not realizing that they were trying to figure him out as well.
