Ok, so revisiting this drawing was interesting. At first, I thought I didn't need to change the pose(just redraw it with my 2020 skills) until I realized Toph would definitely be earthbending a bigger boulder with her foot. Also since I still had in mind my headcanon that she was aiming at Sokka, I thought I'd accentuate her mischievous smile while drawing her in what she'd think would be a casual pose. I think Sokka isn't fooled though, he knows danger is coming! 

I changed the composition too, I looked at references of her parent's garden and realized there weren't any bushes in the middle of the grass. Since I now have a lot more choices for colors, I went for a more desaturated (and realistic) look for the rocks and trees. I think the lack of earthy colors gave this drawing more of an Earth Kingdom color scheme.

Lastly, I updated her costume with a style I like better now.

I really like the way this draw it again turned out!
