Der'iphan was born on Korriban long before the age of the Jedi and Sith, before the dawn of Tenebrae and the advent of hyperspace travel, under the rule of a long dead Sith Kissai King known only for cruelty and the progenitor of their extinction.

While his true age has been lost for millenia and all secrets surrounding his nigh-immortality have been lost to the maelstrom of time, Der'iphan's purity and age remains in his physical traits, possessing three clawed fingers and toes on each limb and flesh in color akin to rotten human blood.

Before the cultural adaptation to the Jen'jidai culture completely uprooted the society of his people, Der'iphan had distanced himself from their influence, surrounding himself with loyalists and zealots that agreed with his xenophobic mentality. Though he outlived the extinction of his original kind, he would slowly accept the hybrids of high purity into his way of life.

Der'iphan was the last born Rightful Prince of Korriban but has thus rejected the title and role, believing that Sith culture and society had long since fallen before the arrival of the Jen'jidai. A shadow of what the Purebloods once were and a said sign of their inevitable decline into true extinction.
