Based on Blair’s latent love for heroism, she could carry around with her books and stories of heroes of old to match all the spell books and scrolls she carries. She could be familiar with expressions relating to old heroes and their struggles (think of “crossing the Rubicon” but you can make your own to match the world of the game. Though thinking about it now it may be difficult to create all-new expressions and hope people understand reading it the first time).
Maybe you could have her inspired to be the next hero that people write about. Or perhaps she carries those romantic fiction novels with her about the big, strong hero saving a damsel in distress and she will be embarrassed if anyone finds out about her guilty pleasure.
I don’t mean to make Blair out to be a bookworm, but it feels like she could be fascinated with stories, especially for epics. It could be that’s what finally got her into the story, otherwise she might still have been learning in libraries and crypts for long-forgotten spells. She has a thirst for adventure.
As for a weapon (if you will be showing those in the pictures), why not have a bejeweled sword, that way she can use it as a traditional sword but also the jewel will act as her magical focus so it’s a very practical weapon no matter what situation she’s in?
Feel free to use any of my suggestions but also don’t feel obligated to use any of them. I like what you’ve shown us so far and I’m looking forward to your next update!
