Very solid piece both conceptually and technically.
In terms of the character himself, you did a superb job in terms of Pokémon selection and implementation. You managed to combine Pinsir and Cloyster seamlessly by implementing all key features that distinguish both Pokémon without compromising validity. This LOOKS like an original design.
In terms of technical execution, I think that the choice of color and lighting were very well developed. By keeping the composition desaturated it gives the character itself a sense of solidity inside of this environment. Providing the posterior light source as a means of rim lighting was also very effective, as it helps the character grab the viewer's attention while also distinguishing the shadowed edges from the similarly colored background.
All-in-all I think this is definitely one of the more well delivered pieces that I have seen so far. Thank you for sharing your artwork theMix85! =]

I wanted to create something between realistic and cartoon. My main focus was on the character, I added some background to give that feel of underwater, without much details so the focus is mostly on character, at least that was the plan :D. My arttistic friends if you have time give me a review or critique, thank you.
