Back in high school, I made an attempt to replicate my favorite and yet rarest image of Guts. I always want to have this image and I could hardly find it, so now I have this one instead. This also survived the storm.

If you're seeing no longer have a lower body.

i think it really captures his character ya know that kind of essence that says move or die

I really like it. Berserk is one of my favorite manga. What's your opinion on his new design with the Berserker Armor

TheManofSteal13 responds:

I think its really badass, intricate and heavy that resembles something like the fluted armor, but in black and with jagged razors. I believe even drawing something like the berserk armor takes a lot of work in detail so you know the manga is pretty beast mode. I'd be even more amazed if someone actually made it.

actually, im currently reading the manga of Berserk and its fuckin insane! nothing like i have ever read before and this piece right here is fuckin insane as well.

however his right arm looks out of proportion to me. from the elbow up to the shoulder it looks too short. and i think to make the overall picture more Berserkish, you should have used a darker color for the background. but i think you did a really good job capturing the madness of Gats. what did you use for this??

TheManofSteal13 responds:

I used a combination of ink an color pencil, I've smoothen the colors using markers on the armor and his arm cannon to give it that finish. The right arm was meant to be seen on an angle, his shoulders are shrugged but the left is pulled back. I think his waist maybe a bit thin in my opinion. Thank you so much for the comment!
