[You]Posting Part 1:

[What an embarrassment you are, a Venehlok without his sharp vision.]

[Vague forms swiftly meander around you, but you can not seem to gain a focus on any of them]

[Everything seems so unclear. You wonder where this place even is.]

[Paradoxically you feel strangely comfortable along side a sense of dread]

[You wander for a moment longer before stumbling over some unseen obstacle]

[Your sight is still a blur, but you can still make out the sight of two bizarre eye-stalks now looming over you]

[It's glare gives you an intense paranoia, but its voice soon after calms your nerves]

"Let's not be so clumsy, o beautiful clay. You are not as lost as you think."

[Warmth fills your body, yet you can not shake the urge to panic and scream at this unearthly entity.]

[You are unsure of what is happening, but feel the need to say something at least]

What will [You] say or do?

- "What are you?"

- "Where am I?"

- *Attempt to scream

Where am I seems like a pretty good move. I hope its not mutually exclusive to what are you, because that one seems almost as good and asking multiple reasonable questions in a confusing situation is always fair. Fun idea for doing interactive storytelling without making things too easy to derail.

TheLawfulMike responds:

No spoilers as to how much [You] are going to be able to talk to this thing for. This is just the immediate response, you may or may not be able to question it further, but the better question is do you really want to?

For future posts I might experiment a little more with open-ended choices, but this format here has worked well. On the Facebook post, there's little react-emojis next to each of the choices and people vote by just reacting to the post. It's a simple system, but I really wish I could figure out something that was more suited for other sites like this one and DeviantArt. Making people comment their vote is not an effective way to do it, but I can't think of a better way for now. :/

I'm not sure what I stumbled upon, but the drawing looks cool! It's a shame there's no focused version. I'd love to see the detail!

As for what I'd do realistically, I'd squint really hard or stand up before I say anything. But from the list, I'd probably ask where I am.

Edit: Can't wait to see the unblurred and colored drawing!

TheLawfulMike responds:

Thanks. Not all the part zero posts are on Newgrounds so sorry for a bit of a lack of context. I mostly run this stuff on Facebook but have been trying to branch it out to a couple of other sites as well. As for the pic, its blurred on purpose. The player character, [You], is having trouble seeing here. The regular drawing is pretty clear, and super colorful, but I'm not going to post it just yet.
