Second in the BlazBlueberry series, it's Konoe 'Nine' Mercury, the sexy witch with a firey temper and firey passions. and an hourglass figure that could knock you out cold.

Given Nine's killer curves, I wanted to have Nine blow up into a bottom-heavy blueberry with birthing hips. That idea didn't pan out, as the first rendition made her look too much like a squat pear, so her design went through some changes until we settled on a shape similar to Warden Blueberrezu, but with an even more promounced booty than the Warden of the Ridge.

From the begining, Nine was always intended to be more violet than blue, like her leotard, and I found a picture of a real life blueberry that's average clor scheme was almost an exact match, which I was able to replicate with a base layer of true blue, a middle layer of liliac, then a thin top layer and lines of tuscan red... only to screw it up in the final drawing. The first blue layer looked to dark and blotchy (in hindsight, it wasn't), to I tried to correct it with a layer of white, only to take the color scheme in the wrong direction, which I attempted to overcorrect with violet instead of liliac, and that just threw the whole thing off. I did manage to salvage it a little bit, but it's a mistake that will forevermore bother me.

On a brighter side, I also had the idea to have juice faning out and dripping down her breasts in a similar pattern to the maple leaf shape of her leotards bra cups, and that detail. along with the spurt of juice squirting out of her left nipple, are some of my favorite features of this piece.

Her expression went through some changes in the planning phases. I'd originally imagined Nine to be a bit grumpy, ticked off by her transformation but (poorly) not letting on how good it feels and how much she's secretly enjoying it. I tested that attitude, as well as Nine being absolutely apoplectic, but ultimately settled for her current expression, which I described as "desperately horny" (or, as titled in the file name for the sketch, "Nine needs the D"), and I am glad to have made that alteration. In my summation, blueberry inflation is so much more errotic when her new blueberry body is blasting her brain with so much pleasure that she can barely form a coherrent thought.

Also, yes; Nine is married to a cat.

This franchise is very Japanese.
