Selph's younger cousin. Before the tragedy, Maru was a scrappy, energetic tomboy with a huge heart. Despite her tough demeanor, however, she is actually extremely sensitive and will break down easily. She is still a child, and as such took pride in the things she believed in and in turn had trouble accepting change / things she did not understand (and so breaks down).
The tragedy was the breaking point for her, completely vanishing away her positive nature and leaving her as a shell of nothing but stress, fear, and guilt of what could have been.
