One of my more darker pieces to date, while it's stated in my DA link above, this was partly inspired by a incident where a former Iraq vetrean became a support worker was allegedly showing pictures and telling stories how he "and the lads" had suspects standing on top of the bridge at gun point and make them sweat. These were allegations I heard and actually try to raise the issue till I was hit by a wall of silence, regardless guy left at some point due to investigation.

Though another factor that prompted inspiration was some of the xcom games where you can end committing actions that would be war crimes irl (burning sectoids, mind control and even chemical warfare. This has been the case since the '94 original.

So this has been a combination of how far can things esclate if you give troops free reign to use any means neccsaary as well as thinking back to allegations about the iraq veteran.

n this case the solider has takn on of the stunned aliens and applied her own sense of "justice" given she hardly cares about justice, as well as wanting the other person to stay quiet.

This also ties to the xcom legacy comic I've been slowly bringing this in parts, as it's an origin summary for part of the continuing comic.
