The Sorceress from Dragons Crown. One of the most amazing, and also shameless, character designs I have ever seen. I've wanted to draw her for years!

I experimented with vector lineart here instead of the regular raster style I use. Whats vector lineart you ask? Well, vector lines and vector art are created using mathematical equations instead of pixels. Therefore you can zoom in on them infinitely and they will never pixelate. Its the absolutely sharpest lineart you could possibly have, and iPad drawing programs like Fresco and Adobe Draw have made it super accessible. On a desktop app, people normally use something like the pen tool and create the outline of all the lineart meticulously. But, on the iPad you can draw and ink with vector lines as if they were raster, all with the Apple Pencil.

I LOVE the style, I LOVE the sharp lines, but it is very tricky to maintain some of the character that you get when you use more traditional raster line work. This is something I'm still wrestling with, and I haven't settled on one style over the other to this day. What do you think? Can you tell the difference in this line work compared to the pics submitted before this one?

For the background, its an image I snapped myself on a trip to Vancouver last year! I got a ton of good stuff from that trip, I'm sure you'll see it in future works.
