Moon Charger

Author Comments

This is one of my final pieces for the school year. This is one part of a series of paintings that tell the story of life under the frozen surface of Europa, Jupiter's water moon.

I wanted to try to put my own take on a "Sea horse". The hooves are evolved to work like crab legs in order to pull itself forward in tough currents. The tail is big and mighty to create a steed to be reckoned with!

The humanoid riding it is a denizen of the world. They have no face! Instead, they have a clear membrane which exposes their eyes, skull and brain. They're quite scary-looking, but no more or less harmful than a human.

Reviews

I keep seeing this and forgetting to comment. Did I ever tell you how BADASS I think this is? :D It makes me hope that there are creatures like this on Europa.

Another incredible piece of art :O
I love your focus on animals, and mystical creatures/beings! It's always so cool to look at either how well you can capture reailty, or portray your imagination :3
