Back in 2020 I got this neat little app called dieback. It lets you make earthbound backgrounds by importing images and distorting em. It's pretty cheap and you can make way cooler stuff than what I've made!
A few of my backgrounds use pre-existing earthbound backgrounds as a base. Edit: Apparently you can download it for free now so have fun with that!

how did you figure out what frame to stop on? thats my only problem with the software lol
Sorry for the late reply! I usually record about 300 or so frames. That's what gets the best results for me.
