I like how he looks, but personally I’d try to make the animation a little less stiff! But he looks good for an attempt at gradient shading!

i wanted to learn how to use layer pattering and gradients for shading, so i've been working on this shovel knight idle animation for the last 2 days, let me know what you think!
here's all the layers i used for those curious (and the original sketch, made in Clip Studio Paint Pro, then exported as PSD and imported into Animate)
Not bad! A great piece of practice work, idk if the kicky leg screams "idle animation" but idk what would in that pose besides just a typical bouncy torso, so good work!
Looking forward to what's next!
