Looking good! Might I suggest trying to make his armor stand out more from his cloak next time? it all blends in and is hard to see.
Also with the background, maybe experiment with digital stuff so that the gradient isn't so smooth. It doesn't fit with the rough pen look of the character.
Keep it up, you keep getting better!
With a track record like that, you just KNOW he's going to meet his match fighting a tiny gnome that tricks him off a cliff and gets away. :P
