WOF/Spyro - Peace Keeper Sunny

Share

I finally finished Sunny!!

I took a while because she's one of my favorite characters in Wings of Fire if not my favorite.

-BEWARE OF SPOILERS FOR WINGS OF FIRE BELOW-

Sunny is a Peace Keeper dragon! It was a bit tricky coming up with her adult design when she's in a group of dragons that is mostly battle ready when Sunny tends to be a rather peaceful dragon by nature.

As a result I kept her armor light and gave her a shield rather than a weapon. I also gave her a small crown since she is technically a princess. I don't imagine Sunny would be rather very flashy with her rank. Her bag and belt attached to it are made of lizard skins from the weird lizards that are scattered around the Peace Keeper worlds.

Sunny is one of my favorite dragons and I loved her book! I was not expecting her to just run off because her friends kept doubting her ability. Then she goes to the desert, gets kidnapped, breaks out, etc. etc.

Unlike the previous books where there is a fair amount of time is focused on the dragons working together, Sunny is flying solo for most of her book. She's smart, clever, and shows great kindness to so many different dragons. I love the hidden message that she is worthy to rule over the Sand Kingdom when she holds the Eye of Onyx and doesn't explode. I do think she made the right choice giving the eye to her mother, and I don't think that ending could have gone any better. At least as far as outlooks for the Sand Kingdom. Queen Thorn will do an awesome job as ruler of the Sandwings.
