Got in the mood to experiment with another style.

I didn't quite grasp the style I was going for, but I still had a lot of fun making this piece.

I'll need to practice the style I'm going for more to get a better handle on it, which means more kitties in the future!

Our subject for this experiment is none other than Willowshine. I stopped reading Warriors after the fourth arch so from what I remember of Willowshine she was nice and seemed to get along well with just about everyone. I really liked the dynamic between her and Mothwing and her and Jayfeather. It was funny to see such an optimistic medicine cat in contrast to grumpy Jayfeather. With Mothwing, they always seemed to have a really good mentor/apprentice relationship, which, with all the drama in Thunderclan, was rather refreshing.

Since she's a medicine cat I wanted to sneak some Starclan-like imagery in there somewhere, especially since Starclan could really only communicate with her and not her mentor Mothwing. Given the name Willowshine, I knew I had to do something with a willow tree and the sparkling water of Riverclan! I always liked how the sun would reflect off the water near weeping willows and shine through the leaves. It looks like a bunch of little stars (hence the image). 

Since Willowshine is Riverclan, I always pictured her as a bit on the chubby side with long, sleek fur. I also gave her a shorter, stockier figure, but not full munchkin
