The orange-red light of the rising sun shined through the window, drawing the stained glass visage of a throne under a diamond array of blue stars on the opposite wall. The mountain of gold the throne sat on traced down in a vast swath of shimmering yellow, painting the red carpet a mixture of maroon and orange while reflecting off the glass podium at its center.
The thrum of chatter and activity outside the room was silenced by the thick walls and heavy double doors on each side of the room, permanently latched closed by heavy bars on the inside of the doors.
The walls were a bare white, parsed every seven feet by ivory pillars that reached from red carpet to deep sapphire ceiling. The white flecks in the sapphire shimmered like stars in the morning light, casting a beautiful image to no one.
A single chair sat at the corner of the room, pointed towards the podium as it silently watched the two earrings held within its glass case. The glass shimmered in the light, the design of the mountain of gold coins tracing up, then down as the day went on.
It watched, in silence, quietly admiring the undisturbed beauty of the artifact.

edit: I finally decided to read it after combing through my comment history. There's a lot of big words my head has to sort, but I now see the image your trying to paint in my head. I see the dust particles reflecting the sunlight and stuff. At last, I have redeemed myself for my useless comment lmao. I'll even sign this like you did yours.
