A new method of making pins that I am definitely going to be tricking my outfits out with! Instead of attempting to get full color pins via painting it on the wood before or after cutting a single layer, I digitally separate the base of the shape from the outline of the shape! The base, and the outline are cut as separate shapes, and glued together! Then I can paint the individual layers quickly with one color of paint(done with top pin) or, I can use a micro brush to hand paint individual sections after both layers are cut and glued together!(Done with the bottom pin) These ones are more expensive to make, as they take quite some time and effort, but I'm getting many ideas of how I can implement this into different designs..
This came about as I was trying to make "mini shadowbox" pins with 3 or so layers. I do have an interesting 3 layer pin on it's way through the pipeline, I just hope it isn't too noisy!
